Creepy Crawl
Creepy Crawl
CREEPY CRAWL is a dependable and easy to master crawling glaze. Designed for cone 5/6. Nodes become more dew droplet-like when fired to cone 7+ temperatures.
Crawling texture is most pronounced when applied thickly. Look for hairline cracks as the glaze dries. Thick application will do the trick! Brush, Dip, Slop, Drizzle, Pour, and More! Fire to cone 5-10. Crackle nodes are more sharp/jagged at cone 5 and more round at cone 6, even rounder at cone 10.

How to Apply
Dip, Drizzle, Brush, Pour, etc!
This glaze looks best when it is applied in one 3mm thick layer rather than multiple thin coats.
ProTip: Looks great applied on top of other glazes!
Application Thickness
Thick application (3mm) = ideal for crawling texture
Moderate thickness (2mm) = bare minimum thickness
Thin application (1mm) = too thin, glaze will not crawl
When the glaze is drying, hairline fractures should form. If no cracks form then it is too thin and you will not get a crawling texture.
2-3mm thickness is demonstrated on the test tiles pictured.
Temperature: Cone 5-10
Fire to cone 5-10. Crackle nodes are more sharp/jagged at cone 5, round at cone 6, and dew drop-like at cone 10.
Cone 5: 2160F or 1180C
Cone 6: 2200F or 1200C
Cone 10: 2350F or 1288C
Food Safe?
No, due to the jagged nodule shape it is not recommended for food use.
